Principal Aims & Objectives:

1. To undertake studies and publications in the areas of foreign policy, economic diplomacy, human rights, trade relations, human development, climate change and regional security cooperation, with a view to identify complementarities and strengthen collaboration between Bangladesh and other South-East Asian Countries.
2. To study the dynamics of US-led globalization process and the residual influences of the European maritime powers who led the colonization and modernization drive in Asia, with a view to identify best and benign bonds of continuing East-West intercourse towards a healthy human order.
3. To work with other civil society organizations to develop understanding and cooperation of South-East Asian nations with Bangladesh.
4. To work with the various international donor agencies, research organizations, strategic study circles, as well as Government and Non-government Organizations on different topical issues in the region as well as in the USA and European Countries.
5. In the twenty-first century realities of a free world order of nation-states, to re-invent the nineteenth century Bengal Renaissance syndrome towards the regeneration of the Asian Phoenix.
6. To promote greater participation of the civil society in the process of security sector reforms, civil and military, including food and water security, and in the making of defense and security policies.
7. To advocate policy reforms to effectively combat the threats of terrorism and radicalization.
8. To tie together experts, think tanks and scholars for effective regional counter terror strategy, and to work as a link portal with other terrorism research centers around the world.
9. To organize occasional local and international dialogues, seminars, academic conferences, symposiums and round table discussions on topical issues in Asia, the USA and other European Countries, and to provide fellowship, prizes and other financial assistance to scholars and students to encourage research in relevant fields of study.
10 To focus on challenges for regional co-operation & integration in South East Asia and apply lessons learnt for strengthening SAARC.
11. To promote civic responsibility amongst the young professionals of the East Asian, South and Central Asian Countries through internship, exchange program, research involvement, dialogue participation & civic activism.
12. To perform systematic comparative public opinion surveys in a member of South-East Asian Countries.
13. To disseminate information’s through the publication of books, journals, periodicals, reports, online articles and research papers.
